today went home rather early, headed to plaza. met Jkeong. pool-ed,
No one was there la. we seems to be the first, haha.
ended at bout 2.30, headed home. saw a MaMa Cat with 4 kittens. all their eye wasnt open yet la! hell damn cute, i wanna take photo of it. but too far. cant go near, the Mama was 'scolding me' le. : ( * scary sia.
Got home, went Balling with MILO. hehes.
hmm , headed out for dinner after that.
bus-ed to Kovan to get Milo's food.
walked home, what a day har?

or rather im just lazy to elaborate cause nothing interesting happens.

3 years in NYP,
somehow, gone case.
omg, all the girls in my class seems to click damn well.
today went orientation,
in the theatre, felt damn sad. cause i was sitting alone, the rest of
the class(dont know who yet) was sitting else where.
while exploring the campus, i wasnt talking to anyone.
before lunch, didnt talk much to anyone.
after lunch was better, but still not talking much.
*BAD BREATHE!!*
after orientation, met up with lly, sheila, fyl, gangyi in nyp
and also jekkeong @ hougang.
when i see them, i was hell damn happy, i can finally
-talk like nobody's business.
-laugh as much/loud as possible.
really damn comfortable, i swear.* laughs.
hope everything's gonna be fine for all my friend la.
so gonna miss them, the HAHA we had. (:

i damn feel like crying,

This month marks the 5th anniversary of Ramba’s passing and I’ve attached a story in remembrance of her.

On 5th April 2004, Ramba, a female chimp at Singapore Zoo escaped from her enclosure. She was darted by a zoo personnel, fell into a reservoir and drowned. It was a tragic death for a chimp that deserved so much more.…

FALLING IN LOVE WITH RAMBA

I was about 21 years old; she was only 2 years old.

We met at the zoo and Ramba was the first chimp I fell in love with. She stared right through my eyes when I first met her and she had a hard life and an awful story to tell.

She was separated from her mother Susie when she was only one year old. She was slated to become a photography chimp and was kept in a cage, away from her family group permanently just so that she could be taken out for the photography sessions more easily.

She would often cry and hug me during the photography sessions and I tried my best to comfort her.

I am ashamed it took me so long to realise that it was wrong to use chimps as photography props and I look back now and think of all the times she had come to me for help.

I fondly remember playing with her during the breaks, tickling her and hearing her laugh. But when it was back to taking photos, she always had the look on her face, which made me feel guilty for participating in these sessions.

I finally stopped volunteering at the zoo and started a campaign to end the use of chimps in photography sessions. With the help of the International Primate Protection League, the campaign was a success.

In 2001, Ramba was released back into the enclosure. She was finally reunited with Susie, her mother and they spent hours grooming each other. She no longer needed to participate in photography sessions.

She was just starting to get her life back and now she is dead. Somehow, I wish I could have done more for her.

She lived a life of fear and perhaps it is ironic that only through her death can she be free from it. She was only six years old when she died but it was the only way out of a life she never chose.

you have taught me everything there is
to know about compassion and respect
for other living beings.
I have grown so fond of you.
I remember the times when you would
come and hug me,

BACK FROM CELEBRATING LLY'S 18th BIRDAY!

hope he enjoyed yah ! heeh
woke up @ bout 1 plus. lovable weather to sleep, raining heavily.
woke up, change of plan to surprise LLY.
so contacted peeps, to discuss and all.
Finally, decided the plans and all @ 2 plus.
wenta have my lunch. contiuned doing lly's present.
Aishah came to my house at bout 3 plus. she was also completing her present for lly. * ahha!
meeting DesL @ 5. i wenta bathe at only 4.40? cause havent complete yo. ps la.
after bathing, flew to meet him. took 80 with Aishah. we alighted at kovan, Aishah headed home. sad hur.
waited for the Hg peeps to be ready. * was rotting at that time luh. ahha
met the rest like haochuan,lly,hongwee,jiawei,fred,ken,bernard and kaicheng.
headed to MarinaSquare. dickson's thr. Surprised ly with SY thr. hhaa, met yl @ HOTpot CULTURE.
had a hard time deciding whether to sit indoor/outdoor. LOL.
settled-outdoor, started eating of course! waited so long la. * Hungry Hungry.
NICE chocolate fondueeee! *teeeee
woo and the Taufik waiter there was polite and of course cute.
the way he laughed and joked with us. xD
seems to be the best waiter ever, do check him out there.
his smile makes your day. ehhe!
after that , headed to 'liu-lian' there. slacked and took hell lots of photos! haah, had fun!
sad thing was jiawei hurt-ed his leg, hmm. take care ah lol.
walked to Penisula, bused 80 home. while ly's fren Sy took train, separate ways. *dont sad la LY.
haah, alighted with Des & wee, slacked.
walked home after that.
i suddenly miss Maiyo, milo. so much. i feel like Glue-ing her onto me.
so that she can share all the joy and laughter i have.

anyway, had a nice day.
hope the birday boy enjoyed himself too.
